With the agreement between APIFARMA and the Portuguese Government, you can deduct from your contribution the expenses with R&D services, when contracted from a suitable recognized company.
Since 2013 Eurotrials is recognized by the Portuguese Government for its suitability in the areas of process development and R&D projects. According to SIFIDE (the Portuguese System of Tax Incentives for Business Research and Development), and the Tax Agreement between the Pharmaceutical Companies and the Portuguese Government, all R&D services contracted with Eurotrials are eligible for the tax incentive associated with SIFIDE, or can be used to offset the tax payments associated with the above mentioned agreement.
This agreement was stablished to achieve the budget goals for 2017, where the Industry accepts to contribute to the public expenses control with a contribution of 200 million euros.
All the expenses with research and development* can be deducted from this contribution, as the Portuguese Government pretends to promote innovation and market access to innovative therapies, then creating a favorable environment for investment, R&D and healthcare advancement.

SIFIDE is the Portuguese System of Tax Incentives for Business R&D, which aims to improve Portuguese companies’ competitiviness by allowing the dediction of the respective expenses from the IRC tax collection.
Since 2011 SIFIDE II is operative, with the introduction of some legislation alterations, becoming more attractive to the companies.
